IPL 7 Chennai Super Kings vs Delhi Daredevils Report

Eighth match of IPL season 2014 was played between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Daredevils at Abu Dhabi. Chennai Super Kings with good all round cricket won the match by huge margins of 93 runs. SK Raina was hero of the match he smashed 56 runs and 2 catches on the field, he declared man of the match.

Earlier Chennai won the toss and decided to bat first. Chennai started very slowly and kept wickets in early 10 overs. CSK lost BB McCullum early bur, SK Raina joined with DR Smith and played very well inning of 56 runs of 41 balls. In later overs skipper MS Dhoni played firing inning of 32 runs of just 15 balls and put Chennai on good score of 177 runs at the end of 20 overs.

Following target of 178 runs, Delhi could not made batter start and lost 3 early wickets in just 17 runs. At one stage Delhi were 5 for 50 runs in 9.2 overs. Skipper KD Karthik tried his best but lost wicket to RA Ashwin scoring 21 runs. Midle order batsman JDS Neeshamalso lost his wicket scoring 22 runs. Then lower batsmen could understand spin attcek of CKS and in 15.4 over Delhi all aou scoring 84 runs and lost the match by huge margins of 93 runs.

Thus, Chennai got 2 important points and secired 3rd position in ipl 7 points tally and delhi got 0 points. Suresh Raina declared man of the match for his 56 runs and picked up 2 catched on the field.
