IPL 7 Kings XI Punjab vs Rajasthan Royals Report

52nd match of IPL season 7 has been played between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals at PCA Stadium, Mohali. Punjab with all round performances won the match by 16 runs. SE Marsh declared man of the match for his useful inning of 40 runs.

Earlier, Rajasthan won the toss and elected to field first. Sehwag and M Vohra started inning fo Punjab. Sehwag again got quick start but lost his wicket scoring 18 runs of 8 balls. M Vohra unfortunately got run out scoring 25 runs of 20 balls. Middle order batsmen played well and contributed quick runs for Punjab and put 179 runs at the end of 20 overs. SE Marsh made 40 runs and he was top scorer for Punjab.

Following huge target of 180 runs, Rajasthan could not batter start and lost KK Nair early scoring 11 runs. AM Rahane and SV Samson took the charge and played good cricket in middle overs. But, Karanveer Singh got 2 wicket in 2 balls and sent back to pavillion SV Samson on 30 and SR Watson for a duck. Rajasthan were in trouble having lost 2 quick wickets. Lower order batsmen BJ Hodge (31 of 18 balls) and JP Faulkner (35 of 13 balls) tried their best but lost the match by 16 runs.

Thus, Punjab remained on top of the table and got more 2 points and Rajasthan dis appointed with 0 points.
