IPL 7 Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians Report

48th match of IPL season 7 has been played between Kings XI Punjab and Mumbai Indians at PCA Stadium, Mohali. Mumbai with LMP Simmons extra ordinery inning of 100* runs won the match by 7 wickets. LMP Simmons declared man of the match for his century inning in 61 balls.

Earlier Mumbai won the toss and decided to bowl first. Punjab started very aggrassively with M Vohra and Sehwag but, Sehwag unfortunately got run out scoring 17 runs of 11 balls. SE Marsh joined with Vohra and played quick inning of 30 runs of 17 balls before he departed. GJ Maxwell failed today and made only 2 runs. GJ Bailey took the charge and contributed 39 runs of 30 balls and put Punjab on 156 runs at the end of 20 overs.

Following target of 157 runs, Mumbai made confident start with LMP Simmons and Mike Hussey. Both added 68 runs before Hussey departed. The hero of the match was Lendi Simmons as he hitz first 100 of IPL season 7 and remained not out till end. Mumbai won the match by huge margins of 7 wickets and kep hope alive for the Playoffs.

Thus, Mumbai got 2 well needed points and Punjab disappointed with 0 points. Lendi Simmons declared man of the match for his splendid 100* runs inning of just 61 balls.
