Opting to bat first, Kolkata lost AM Rahane for a duck in 1st over. Cameron Green played good inning of 55 balls 79 runs and helps KKR to set good defending target of 181 runs for Gujarat to get. Kagiso Rabada took 3 wickets of 29 runs. Mohammed Siraj and Ashok Sharma shared 2 wickets each for GT as well.
Following 181 runs, Gujarat with Shubman Gill's sensible 50 balls 86 runs and Jos Buttler's 15 balls 25 runs made chase easily in 19.4 overs and won the match by 5 wickets margin with 2 balls remaining. Varun Chakravarthy with 2 for 34 was top bowler for Kolkata. Shubman Gill declared man of the match for his mat winning 86 runs of 50 balls.
