Match 44 : Kumar Kartikeya's tight spell followed by Suryakumar's 51 runs helps Mumbai to win over Rajasthan by 5 wkts

IPLT20 2022 Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians Match 44 played on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at DY Patil Stadium, Navi Mumbai.

Pitting into bat first by Mumbai, Rajasthan top orders bated very slow cricket untill 15 overs. Jos Buttler smashed four sixes in row in 16th over and got out soring 52 balls 67 runs. Other lower orders failed to bat quick innings and Rajasthan managed to score 158 runs in 20 overs. Hrithik Shokeen was expensive but took 2 wickets and Riley Meredith took 2 wickets spending 24 runs.

Following 159 runs, Mumbai lost RG Sharma early scoring just 2 runs. Ishan Kishan played small but quick inning of 26 runs. Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Verma took the charge in hand and payed good cricket in middle overs. Tilak Varma made 35 runs and Suryakumar played good inning of 39 balls 51 runs. In later overs Tim David's 9 balls 20* runs and Daniel Sams winning six helped Mumbai to gain first two points in points tally of IPL 2022. Mumbai won by 5 wkts. Suryakumar declared man of the match.
