Eliminator : Rajat Patidar's 112* & Hazlewood's 3 wkts powered Bangalore to win by 14 runs and knocked out Lucknow Super Giants
IPLT20 2022 Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bangalore Eliminator match played on Wdnesday, May 25, 2022 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Putting into bat first by Lucknow, Bangalore lost Faf du Plessis for a duck. Rajat Patidar joined with Virat Kohli and played good cricket initially. Kohli made 25 runs. Rajat Patidar played superb inning of 112 unbeaten runs with 7 massive sixes and 12 fantastic fours and put Bangalore on a huge total of 207 runs. Dinesh Karthik also played quick inning of 37 runs in 23 balls.
Following huge target of 208 runs, Lucknow lost Q de Kock early scoring 6 runs. KL Rahul with 58 balls 79 runs brave inning and Deepak Hooda's 26 balls 45 runs fought very hard but managed to score 193 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 14 runs. Josh Hazlewood took 3 wickets for RCB. Lucknow knocked out and Bangalore to play 2nd Qualifer with Rajasthan on 27th May. Rajat Patidar declared man of the match for his 112* runs.
