Opting to bat first, Lucknow with KL Rahul's sensible 51 balls 77 runs and Deepak Hooda's excellant 34 balls 54 runs set huge target of 196 runs for Delhi to get. Shardul Thakur bowled well and took three wickets for Delhi.

Following huge target of 196 runs, Delhi lost both opening batsmen early. Mitchell Marsh with 20 balls 37 and Rishabh Pant with 30 balls 44 runs played good cricket initially. In later overs Rovman Powell with 21 balls 35 runs and Axar Patel with 24 balls 42 runs tried level best but lost last ball finished match by 6 runs. Mohsin Khan bowled very well and took 4 wickets of just 16 runs. He declared man of the match.
