Only Test : Manav Suthar's 6 for 33 runs and Shubman & KL Rahul's tons led India to knees down Afghanistan by an innings and 300 runs

1st Test match of only one test match between India vs Afghanistan at PCA New Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh during June 6 to 10, 2026.

Opting to bat first, India with Shubman Gill 126, KL Rahul 100, Sai Sudharsan 81, Rishabh Pant 81 and Washington Sundar's 52* runs played excellent cricket and declared inning scoring well 564/8 runs. Mohammad Saleem bowled well and took 6 wickets of 140 runs for Afghanistan.

Batting in 1st inning Afghanistan all out scoring 152 runs in 58.4 overs. Rahmat Shah with 60 runs was top scorer for Afghanistan. Manav Suthar bowled well and took 6 wickets of 33 runs for India. Following on, Afghanistan team all out scoring just 112 runs in 2nd inning and lost the match by huge margins of an innings and 300 runs. Manav Suthar declared man of the match for his 6 wickets.
