1st ODI : Virat Kohli's 45th ODI century with 113 runs and Siraj - Umran's killer bowling powered India to knees down Sri Lanka by 67 runs
1st oneday international match of three odi match series played between India vs Sri Lanka at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
Putting into bat first by Sri Lanka, India with top orders wonderful batting performances set huge targe of 374 runs for Sri Lanka to get. Rohit Sharma wih 67 balls 83 runs, Shubman Gill with 60 balls 70 runs and Virat Kohli's 87 balls 113 runs were top scorers for India. Virat Kohli hitz 45th ODI Hundered and 73rd international hundered as well. Kasun Rajitha were expensive bu took 3 wickets conseding 88 runs for Sri Lanka.
Following huge target of 374 runs, Sri Lanka mos batsmen failed to bat well and managed to score 306 runs and lost the match by 67 runs. Pathum Nissanka with 72 runs and Dasun Shanaka with 88 balls 108 unbeaten runs were top scorers for Sri Lanka. Umran Malik took 3 wickets and Mohammed Siraj took 2 wickes for India. Virat Kohli declared man of the match for his 113 runs. India led 3-match series 1-0 as well.
