Qualifier 2 : Shahbaz & Abhishek's killer bowling powered Hyderabad to stunned Rajasthan by 36 runs and qualify for Final
IPLT20 2024 2nd Qualifier between Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Rajasthan Royals match played on Friday, May 24, 2024 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Putting into bat first by Rajasthan, Hyderabad with Travis Head's 34 runs, Rahul Tripathi's 15 balls 37 runs and Heinrich Klaasen's classic 34 balls 50 runs managed to set 176 runs target for Rajasthan to get. Trent Boult and Avesh Khan bowled well and took 3 wickets each. Sandeep Sharma aosl took 2 wickets for RR as well.
Following 176 runs target, Rajasthan with very poor batting performances managed to score 139/7 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 36 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal with 42 runs and Dhruv Jurel with unbeaten 35 balls 56 runs were top scorers for Rajasthan. Shahbaz Ahmed bowled well and took 3 wickets of 23 runs. Abhishek Sharma also took 2 wickets. Shahbaz Ahmed declared man of the match for his 3 wickets.
