Putting into bat first, Bengaluru with top orders good batting set huge target of 223 runs for Punjab to get. Virat Kohli 58 runs, Devdutt Padikkal 45 runs, Venkatesh Iyer with 40 balls 73* runs and Tim David 12 balls 28* runs were top scorers for RCB. Harpreet Brar with 2 for 35 was top bowler for Punjab.
Following huge 223 runs, Punjab lost top three wickets just in 3.2 overs scoring 19 runs. Cooper Connolly 37 runs, Suryansh Shedge 35 runs, Marcus Stoinis 37 runs and Shashank Singh with 27 balls 56 runs tried best but PBKS score 199/8 in 20 overs and lost the match by 23 runs. Rasikh Salam took 3 wickets and B Kumar claimed 2 wickets for RCB. Venkatesh Iyer declared man of the match for his 40 balls 73* runs.
