IPL Eliminator : Rohit Sharma with 50 balls 81 runs helps MI to set huge 229 runs target and knocked out GT by 20 runs

Eliminator Match of IPLT20 2025 between Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians played on Friday, May 30, 2025 at PCA New Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh at 7:00 pm.

Opting to bat first, Mumbai with top orders superb batting set huge target of 229 runs for Gujarat to get. Rohit Sharma 50 balls 81 runs, Jonny Bairstow's 22 balls 47 runs, Suryakumar Yadav 20 balls 33 runs, Tilak Varma's 11 balls 25 runs and Hardik Pandya's unbeaten 9 balls 22 runs were highlights of MI inning. MP Krishna and R Sai Kishore shared 2 wickets each for GT as well.

Following huge target of 229 runs, Gujarat fought very hard but managed to score 208/6 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 20 runs. Sai Sudharsan with 49 balls 80 runs and Washington Sundar with 24 balls 48 runs were op scorers for GT. Trent Boult was expensive but took 2 wickets of 56 runs. Rohit Sharma declared man of the match for his 50 balls 81 runs.
