Match 44 : Mhd Shami's 4 for 11 went in vain as Delhi defend 130 runs with superb bowling and win over Gujarat by 5 runs
IPLT20 2023 Gujarat Titans vs Delhi Capitals match played on Tuesday, May 02, 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad.
Opting to bat first, Delhi's most batsmen failed to bat well and managed to score just 130/8 runs in 20 overs. Aman Hakim Khan played good cricket for Delhi and contributed well 51 runs. Mohammed Shami bowled wonderful spell of 4-0-11-4 for Gujarat Titans as well.
Following small target of 131 runs, Gujarat's opening batsmen Shubman & Saha lost early wickets. Vijay Shankar and David Miller also gone for small contribution and Titans were in trouble. Hardik played good inning of 59 unbeaten runs but Gujarat managed to score 125 runs and lost the match by runs. Khaleel Ahmed & Ishant Sharma took 2 wickets for Delhi. Mohammed Shami Shami (GT) declared man of the match for his 4 wickets for 11 runs in 4 overs.
