Match 61 : Rinku and Nitish's fifties powered Kolkata to chase 145 runs target easily and win over Chennai by 6 wickets
IPLT20 2023 Chennai Super Kings vs Kolkata Knight Riders match played on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai.
Opting to bat first, Chennai with very slow batting performances managed to set small target of 145 runs for Kolkata to get. Devon Conway with 30 runs and Shivam Dube with 34 balls unbeaten 48 runs were top scorers for Chennai. Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine bowled well and took 2 wickets each for Kolkata.
Following small target of 145 runs, Kolkata lost top 3 wickets on team score 33 runs. Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh came in middle and played match winning innings for KKR. Rinku Singh made 54 runs and Nitish remained not out scoring 57 runs to presented Kolkata remarkable win by 6 wkts. Deepak Chahar took 3 wkts for CSK.
