Match 23 : Shikhar - Mayank's fifties followed by Odean Smith's four for led Punjab to upset Mumbai by 12 runs
IPLT20 2022 Mumbai Indians vs Punjab Kings Match 23 played on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at MCA Stadium, Pune.
Putting into bat first by Mumbai, Punjab with top orders wonderful batting set huge target of 199 runs for Mumbai to get. Mayank Agrawal's 32 balls 52 runs and S Dhawan's 50 balls 70 runs were highlights of Punjab inning. Jitesh Sharma in later overs smashed 15 balls 30 run contributed well. Basil Thampi took 2 wickets for Mumbai.
Following huge 199 runs, Mumbai fought deadly with aggrassive batting but managed to score 186 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 12 runs. Rohit Sharma 17 balls 28 runs, Dewald Brevis' 25 balls firing 49 runs and Tilak Varma 20 balls 36 runs were highlights of Mumbai inning. Odean Smith took 4 wickets and Kagiso Rabada took 2 wkts. Mayank Agrawal declared man of the match.
