Match 51 : Tim David's 21 balls 44* runs and superb bowling performances led Mumbai to upset Gujarat by 5 runs

IPLT20 2022 Gujarat Titans Ahmedabad vs Mumbai Indians Match 51 played on Friday, May 06, 2022 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai.

Putting into bat first by Gujarat, Mumbai got quick start with Ishan and Rohit initially. Both added 74 runs in 7.2 overs before Rohit got out scoring quick 28 balls 43 runs. Ishan also played good quick inning of 29 balls 45 runs. In later overs Tim David played quick 21 balls 44 unbeaten runs inning and helps Mumbai to set good target of 178 runs for Gujarat to get. Rashid Khan took 2 wickets for Gujarat as well.

Following 178 runs, Gujarat got wonderful start with Shubhman and Saha initially. Both smashed fifties. Saha made 55 runs and Shubman made 52 runs. Hardik Pandya also played good inning of 24 runs before got out. Tewatia also got run put scoring just 3 runs. Gujarat needed 9 runs in last over but Daniel Sams bowled superb 20th over conceding just 3 runs and powered Mumbai won by 5 runs in tight finished match. M Ashwin took 2 important wickets but, Tim David declared man of the match for his quick 44 runs..
