Shehzad and Babar Azam's excellent 89 and 48 runs powered Pak to crush WXI by 33 runs and won series 2-1

3rd and final t20 international of Independence cup 2017 has been played between World XI and Pakistan today at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. Putting into bat first by World XI, Pakistan put good total of 183/4 runs in 20 overs. Once again Ahmed Shehzad and Babar Azam played well for Pakistan and contributed 89 and 48 runs with consistent batting. World XI in reply managed to score 150/8 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 33 runs. Ahmed Shehzad declared man of the match for his 89 runs.

Following target of 184 runs, World XI open ining with Tamim Iqbal and HM Amla. Tamim got out early scoring 14 runs of 10 balls. HM Amla also left the field unfortunately got run out scoring 21 runa of 12 balls. Other middle orders failed to stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interwals. Lower orders tried their best but their efforts were not enough to cross Pakistan huge total. World XI managed to score 150/8 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 33 runs. Pakistan won 3-match series 2-1.
