Match 11 : Mayank Yadav's with super quick pace & 3 for 27 powered Lucknow to upset Punjab by 21 runs
IPLT20 2024 Lucknow Super Giants vs Punjab Kings match played on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Stadium, Lucknow.
Opting to bat first, Lucknow with Quinton de Kock's 54 runs, Nicholas Pooran's quick 22 balls 42 runs and Krunal Pandya's firing unbeaten 22 balls 43 runs set huge target of 200 runs for Punjab to get. Sam Curran bowled well and took 2 wickets for Punjab.
Following huge target of 200 runs, Punjab got very good start with Dhawan and Bairstow initially. Both added 102 runs for 1st wicket before Bairstow got out scoring 42 runs. Dhawan also played good inning of 70 runs. Othe batsmen tried their best but Punjab managed to score 178/5 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 21 runs. Debuten Mayank Yadav bowled well and took 3 wicket of 27 runs. He declared man of the match.
