VIVO IPL 2017 season 10 15th encounter between Delhi Daredevils vs Kings XI Punjab at Feroze Shah Kotla, Delhi on April 15, 2017 at 8:00 pm. Opting to bat first Delhi put uge score of 188 runs in 20 overs with SW Billings' 55 of 40 balls and CJ Anderson's quick 39 of 22 balls. Punjab in reply managed to score 137 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 51 runs. CJ anderson declared man of the match for his quick 39* of 22 balls and 1 wicket.
Delhi Daredevils won the toss and elected to bat first and set target for visitor team. Opting to bat first, Delhi got good start with SV Samson and SW Billings. Both added 53 runs before Samson got out scoring 19 runs. SW Billings played good cricket and made very well 55 runs of 40 balls. Other middle order batsmen KK Nair, SS Iyer and RR Pant failed to stood in middle for long and lost their wicket early. CJ Anderson in later overs played quick cricket with CH Morris and put Delhi on good total of 188 runs in 20 overs. Corey Anderson made quick 39 runs of just 22 balls with three superb fours and three massive sixes.
Following target of 189 runs, Kings XI Punjab failed to made good start and lost M Vohra scoring just 3 runs. Next man WP Saha also gone early of 7 runs. Other Punjab star batsmen like HM Amla (19), EJG Morgan (22) and DA Miller (24) got good start but failed to play long innings. Skipper GJ Maxwell also gone for a duck and Punjab were in big trouble.
