Batting in 2nd inning with 178 runs lead, Team India all out scoring 193 runs in 48.5 overs. Rishabh Pant with 66 runs was top scorer. Asitha Fernando took wickets of 31 runs and Prabath Jayasuriya took 3 wickets of 43 runs for Sri Lanka. Having 372 runs target, Sri Lanka score 84/4 at stumps day-4. Manav Suthar took 2 wickets. Dhananjaya de Silva with 31 runs and Sonal Dinusha with 25 runs to resume inning on 5th day. Sri Lanka still required 288 runs to win.

Day-3 : Manav Suthar with 4 for 76 & RA Jadeja with 3 for 57 led India to finished Sri Lanka on 284 runs and gain 178 runs lead

Resume batting on 460/9, India team all out scoring 462 runs adding just 2 runs in previous day score. Sri Lanka with Sonal Dinusha's 100 runs and Niroshan Dickwella's 80 runs managed to score 284 runs at stumps. Manav Suthar bowled well and took 4 wickets of 76 runs. RA Jadeja also picked up 3 wickets of 57 runs. Sri Lanka trail by 178 runs over India's 1st inning score.

Day-2 : Padikkal's 167 runs and Dhruv Jurel with 51 runs helps India to score 460/9 at stumps, P Jayasuriya took 4 wickets
