ICC T20 worldcup 2022 Sri Lanka vs England match played on Saturday, November 05, 2022 at Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney.
Opting to bat first, Sri Lanka were 80/2 in 10 overs. Pathum Nissanka played good inning of 45 balls 67 runs but other batsmen failed to bat well and Sri Lanka managed to set 142 runs target for England to get. Mark Wood with 3 wickets were top bowler for England.
Following 142 runs target, England bated sensibly and made given chase easily in 19.4 overs having lost 6 wickets and won the match by 4 wickets. Alex Hales with 47 runs and Ben Stokes with unbeaten 42 runs were top scorer for England. Adil Rashid declared man of the match for his tight bowling with 1 for 16 runs in his 4 overs. England qualify for Semi final as well.
