New Zealand with Wonderful all round team performances knee down India by 8 wkts and lifted 1st WTC trophy

Grand Finale match of ICC World Test Championship played between India and New Zealand at The Ageas Bowl, Southampton, England between Fri 18 - Tue 22, June, 2021.

After 1st dat washout, New Zealand won the toss on 2nd day and decided to field first. India made 217 runs in 1st inning with AM Rahane's 49 and Kohli's 44 runs. Kyle Jamieson bowled well for Kiwis and took 5 wickets of just 31 runs. New Zealand made 249 runs in their 1st inning with Devon Conway's 54 and KS Willimson's 49 runs. Mhd Shami picked up 4 wickets and Ishant Sharma took 3 wickets for India.

With 32 runs debt, India made 170 runs in 2nd inning. RR Pant with 41 runs were hight runs maker for India. Tom Southee picked up 4 wickets and TA Boult took 3 wickets for New Zealand. India managed to set small target of 140 runs for New Zealand to get after lunch on last and final day. New Zealand made chase easily in 45.5 overs and registered comprehensive win by 8 wickets. New Zealand won the 2021 ICC World Test Championship as well. Kyle Jamieson declared man of the match for his 7 wickets in match.
