Excellent pace bowling followed by Kohli's 28th ton led India to made comfortable win over West Indies by 8 wkts and won 5 match series 3-1

5th one day international of five match series between West Indies and India played on Thursday, July 06 at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica. Opting to bat first, West Indies after having good start by KA Hope (46) and SD Hope (51) managed to put 205 runs in 50 overs for India to get. India in reply chase the given target in 36.5 overs having lost just 2 wkts and made confortable win by 8 wkts. India won 5 match series 3-1 as well. V Kohli declared man of the match for his unbeaten 111 runs.

Earlier, West Indies won the toss and opted to bat first. West Indies lost E Lewis early scoring 9 runs. KA Hope and SD Hope took the charge in hand for WI and played sensible cricket initially. Both played well and contributed well 45 and 51 runs respectively before left the field. RL Chase (0) and JN Mohammed (16) were quick wickets put West Indies in trouble, but skipper JO Holder and R Powell played well in middle overs and contributed well 36 and 31 runs for West Indies and managed to put respactable total of 205 runs in 50 overs. Mohammed Shami bowled well for India and took 4 wickets. UT Yadav also picked up 3 wickets for India as well.

Following target of 206 runs, India also lost S Dhawan early in first over for 4 runs only. AM Rahane and skipper V Kohli took the charge in hand for India and played good cricket initially. Both played well and added 79 runs for 2nd wicket before Rahane got LBW out scoring 39 runs. KD KArthik joined with skipper Kohli and helps lot with good batting in chasing 206 runs. Both played till end and registered comprehinsive win in 36.5 overs. KD Karthik made well 50* runs and Virat Kohli smashed his 28th hundred in ODI career with 111* runs. He is on 3rd position followed by SR Tendulkar (49) and RT Ponting (30) in highest ODI hunderd as well. Remember this was record 18th century by Kohli in run chasing and put Tendulkar back who has 17 hundered in run chase in ODI career. India won 5 match ODI series 3-1 and will play one-off twenty20 international on same ground on Sunday, July 09.
