8th Match of the 14th season Indian Premier League 2021 played between Punjab Kings vs Chennai Super Kings on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai at 7:30 pm.

Putting into bat first by Chennai, Punjab top oreders collepsed against Deepak Charar's killer bowling and were 5/26 just in 4.4 overs. Shahrukh Khan played good inning for Punjab and made useful 47 runs. Punjab team managed t score small total of 106 runs in 20 overs. Deepak Chahar took foru wickets of just 13 runs.

Following small target of 107 runs, Chennai made easy chase in 15.4 overs having lost 4 wickets and won the match comprehensively by 6 wickets. Moeen Ali played good inning of 46 runs and Faf du Plessis contributed well unbeaten 36 runs. Depak Chahar declared man of the match for his four wickets of just 13 runs.
