2nd ODI : Mehidy Hasan Miraz's 100* & 2 wickets powered Bangladesh to knees down India by 5 runs
2nd oneday international match of odi match series played between Bangladesh vs India at Sher-E-Bangla Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on Wednesday, December 07, 2022.
Opting to bat first, Bangladesh were 6/69 in 19 overs. Mahmudullah and Mehidy Hasan Miraz took the charge in hand and played wonderful inings for Bangladesh. Mahamudullah made 77 runs and Mehidy Hasan Miraz smashed his 1st ODI century and remained unbeaten scoring 100 runs. Bangladesh set huge target of 272 runs for India to get. Washington Sundar bowled well and took 3 wickets. Mhd Siraj amd Umran Malk took 2 wickets each for India.
Following 272 runs, India with Shreyas Iyer's 82 runs, Axar Patel's 56 runs and Rohit Sharma's quick 28 balls 51 unbeaten runs fought hard but lost the match by 5 runs in last ball finished match. Mehidy Hasan Miraz declared man of the match for his maiden 100 runs and 2 wickets. Bangladesh led 3match series 2-0 as well.
