14th Group Stage match of CLT20 2014 was played between Sunfoil Dolphins and Lahore Lions at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Lahore Lions won tense ending match by 16 runs. Umar Akmal declared man of the match for his brave inning of 73 runs of just 45 balls.
Earlier, Lahore won the toss and decided to bat first. Lahor could not made batter srart and lost 4 wickets in just 34 runs. But, Saad Nasim 43 runs of 26 balls and Umar Akmal 73 runs of 45 balls played well and put totals score of 164 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Following target of 165 runs, Dolphins also could not good start and lost CS Delport early. MN van WNK played good inning of 36 runs but could not excellarate much. Other top order batsmen failed to stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interwals. Only Frylinck faught well and made 63* runs of 27 balls but not enough to reach LAhore totals and Dolphins lost the match by 16 runs.
Umar Akmal (Lions) declared man of the match for his 73 runs of 45 balls.
