3rd Group Stage match of Asia Cup twenty20 2016 has been played between Bangladesh and United Arab Emirates on February 26,2016 at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium, Mirpur. Putting into bat first by UAE, Bangladesh put 133 runs in 20 overs having lost 8 wickets. UAE in reply collpse against Bangladesh bowlers badly and managed to score 82 runs in 17.4 overs and lost the match by huge margins of 51 runs. Mahmudullah declared man of the match for his all round performances with quick 36 runs and 2 important wickets.

Earlier, United Arab Emirates won the toss and elected to field first. Bangladesh got good start with Mohammad Mithun and Soumya Sarkar initially. Both played good cricket and added 46 runs for 1st wicket before Soumya Sarkar lost his wicket scoring 21 runs. Mohammad Mithun played good cricket in middle and contributed well 47 runs of 41 balls. Bangladesh lost 3 quick in middle overs and at one stage 83/4 in 12th over. Once again in 18th over Bangladesh lost 3 quick wicket and could not excellarate the run rate as well. In 20th over Mahmudullah added 17 runs and put Bangladesh on 133 runs at the end of 20 overs.

Following target of 134 runs, UAE could not made batter start lost Muhammad Kaleem early for no score. Rohan Mustafa and Mohammad Shahzad tried to shape-up UAE inning but could not stood in middle for long and lost wickets scoring 18 and 12 runs respectively. As UAE is new team in international cricket, lake of experience seem in batting and middle order knees down against experience Bangladesh bowlers as well. At one stage USE were 46/7 in 12th over. At last USE manage to score 82 runs in 17.4 overs and lost the match by huge margins of 51 runs.
