Pakistan to play 3 T20i with World XI in September 2017
Pakistan vs World XI twenty20i series 2017

ICC organised Independence Cup 2017 regarding this World XI cricket team tour to Pakistan to play three T20Is in Lahore next month. Faf du Plessis has been named captain of World XI team. Along with Faf du Plessis four other South African cricketers : Hashim Amla, Morne Morkel, David Miller and Imran Tahir are in the 14-member squad. World XI team includes representatives from seven nations.

Australia's three players - George Bailey, Ben Cutting and wicketkeeper Tim Paine and West Indies' two players Darren Sammy & Samuel Badre are in world-11 squad. There is one player each from England, Bangladesh, New Zealand and Sri Lanka featuring world xi squad as well.

The three-T20 international series begins on 12th September, with the next two T20s to be played on 13th and 15th September.

Former Zimbabwe captain and England coach Andy Flower was announced as the coach of the Independence Cup World XI side 2017.
