Kohli's 35th ODI ton with 129* & Thakur's 4 for powered India to knees down Africa by 8 wkts and won series 5-1 at Centurion

6th and final match of 6-match series played between South Africa and India at Centurion today. Putting into bat first by India, South Africa once again failed to put big score and all out scoring 204 runs in 46.5 overs. K Zondo played well for Africa and made 54 runs. SN Thakur took 4 wickets for India with impressive bowling. India with V Kohli's splendid 129 unbeaten runs won the match by huge margins of 8 wickets. India won series 5-1 as well. Kohli declared man of the match and man of the series for his huge contribution with bat.

Earlier, India won the toss and put South Africa into bat first. Africa once again failed to made good start and lost HM Amla scoring 10 runs. AB de Villiers came in middle and played some good cricket with skipper Markerm as well. Markram also got out in 10th over having score 24 runs and K Zondo took the charge in hand with de Villiers. AB de Villiers left the field scoring 30 runs and South Africa were in trouble. Other batsmen could not stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interwals. K Zondo played good inning of 54 runs for Africa. South Africa all outh scoring 204 runs in 46.5 overs. SN Thakur bowled well for India and picked up 4 wickets in his 1st match of seires. Bumrah and Chahal also bowled well and took 2 wickets each.

Following target of 204 runs, India lost opening batsmen RG Sharma (15) and S Dhawan (18) early. Skipper V Kohli and AM Rahane took the charge in hand for India and bated brilliently through out to win for India. Both bated excellent cricket and presented India remarkable win by huge margins of 8 wickets as Centirion. V Kohli smashed his 35th ODI ton with 129 unbeaten runs of just 96 balls and AM Rahane gave superb stand to his skipper contributing 34 unbeaten runs for India as well. This was Kohli's 3rd century of the series and he remain top scorers of the series with 558 runs in 6 matches. He declared man of the match and man of the series as well. India won the 6-match ODI series 5-1 for the first time in South Africa.
