2nd ODI : Mhd Shami's 3 for and Rohit Sharma's fifty powered India to knees down New Zealand by 8 wickets and led 3-match series 2-0

2nd oneday international match of three odi match series played between India vs New Zealand at SVNS Cricket Stadium, Raipur on Saturday, January 21, 2023.

Putting into bat first by India, New Zealand with very poor batting performances managed to set small target of 109 runs for India to get. New Zealand all out in 34.3 overs. Glenn Phillips with 36 runs and Mitchell Santner with 27 runs were top scorers. Mohammed Shami took 3 wickets. Hardik Pandya and Washington Sundar picked up 2 wickets each for India.

Following small target of 109 runs, India with Rohit Sharma's 51 runs and Shubman Gill's unbeaten 40 runs made chase easily in 20.1 overs and won the match by 8 wickets. Mohammed Shami declared man of the match for his 3 wickets. India led the 3-match series 2-0 as well.
