1st ODI : Bracewell's 78 balls 140 runs were not enough as Shubman Gill's 149 balls 208 runs led India to upset New Zealand by 12 runs

1st oneday international match of three odi match series played between India vs New Zealand at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Opting to bat first, India with Shubman Gill's wonderful 149 balls 208 runs managed to set huge target of 350 runs for New Zealand to get. Shubman smashed 19 fours and 9 massive sixes in his brave inning. Henry Shipley and Daryl Mitchell took 2 wickets each for New Zealand.

Following huge target of 350 runs, New Zealand with Mitchell Santner's 57 runs and Michael Bracewell's fantastic 78 balls quick 140 runs with 12 fours and 10 huge sixes tried best but lost the match by just 12 runs in tight finished match. Mohammed Siraj bowled well for India and took 4 wickets. Shubman Gill declared man of the match for his 208 runs. India led 3 match series 1-0 as well.
