1st T20i : Hardik Pandya's quick fifty and 4 for 33 runs powered India to knees down England by huge 50 runs

Opting to bat first, India with top orders quick batting performances set huge target of 199 runs for England to get. Rohit Sharma 14 balls 24, Deepak Hooda 17 balls 33, Suryakumar Yadav 19 balls 39 and Hardik Pandya with 33 balls 51 runs were top scorers for India. Moeen Ali and Chris Jordan two wickets each for England.

Following huge target of 199 runs, England top order batsmen failed to bat well and at one stage were 4/33 in 6.1 overs. Moeen Ali with 20 balls 36 runs and Chris Jordan with 26 runs fought hard but managed to score 148 runs and lost the match by 50 runs. Hardik Pandya bowled well and took 4 wickets of 33 runs.
