Resuming with 133/6 on 3rd day score, Australia managed to score 200 runs in 2nd inning. India with reducing 131 runs lead from 1st inning, got 70 runs target to win the match. Shubhman Gill with 35* and AM Rahane with 27* runs made chase easily and India won the match by 8 wickets. AM Rahane declared man of the match for his wonderful contribution with bat. He hitz century in 1st inning with 112 runs and 27 unbeaten runs in 2nd inning. India level 4-match series 1-1 as well.
Day 3 : Rahane's 112 & Jadeja's 57 led Ind to score 326 runs in 1st inngs and Aus were 133/6 lead by 2 runs in 2nd inngs at stumps
Resuming with 277/5 on 2nd day score, India all out scoring 326 runs with RA Jadeja's 57 and Rahane's 112 runs. India managed to set 131 runs lead over Australia. Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon took 3 wickets each for Australia. Australia in 2nd inning were 133/6 at stumps day-3 and lead by just 2 runs with four wickets left.
Day 2 : Rahane with 104* runs & Jadeja's 40* powered India to a 277/5 and lead by 82 runs in 1st inning at stumps
Resuming with 36/1 1st day score, India with Shubhman Gill's 45, RA Jadeja's 40* and Rahane's fighting 104* runs managed to set 82 runs lead over Australia. Between AM Rahane and RA Jadeja century plus unbeaten 6th wickets stand were highlights of the day. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins took 2 wickets each for Australia. Starc completed his 250 wickets in test with Rishabh Pant's wickets as well. India were 277/5 at stumps day-2.
Day 1 : Bumrah's four for & Ashwins three wkts led India to restrict Aus on 196 and Ind 36/1 at stumps
Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Bumrah got Joe Burns early for a duck. Matthew Wade and M Labuschagne played sensible cricket and contributed well 30 and 48 runs respectively. Travis Head also played good inning of 38 runs but Bumrah's four and Ashwin's three wickets helps India to restricted Australia on 195 runs in 1st inning. India also lost Mayank Agrawal early for a duck but Shubhman Gill 28* and ca Pujara 7* bated till and and India were 36/1 at stumps day-1.
