Day4 - R Ashwin with Test best figures of 13 for 140 led India to 2nd biggest Test win by 321 runs in Indore

India resumed batting on 18/0 and with top orders superb batting performances declared 2nd inning scoring 216/3 in 49 overs. G Gambhir played quick inning of 50 runs of 56 balls and CA Pujara smashed unbeaten 101* runs in 148 balls. India already had 1st inning lead of 258 runs plus 2nd inning 216 runs make 474 target for New Zealand to achieve. In 2nd ining also New Zealand batsmen failed to bat well and finds lots diffculties to face Jadeja and Ashwin as well. New Zealand team all out scoring 153 runs in 44.5 overs and lost the match by huge margin of 321 runs. R Ashwin picked up 7 wickets of 59 runs and he declared man of the match for total 13 wickets in the match of just 140 runs. Ashwin also given Man of the series award for taking 27 wickets in 3 test matches. India won the 3-match series 3-0 and also regain No.1 rank in test ranking as well.

Day3 - R Ashwin 5 wkts haul with 6 for 81 helped India bowled New Zealand out for 299 and 258 runs lead

New Zealand resumed batting on 28/0 with MJ Guptill and TWM Latham in the morning. Both played good cricket and smashed fifties as well. They added more 90 runs of previous day score before TWM Latham got out scoring 53 runs. Skipper KS Willimson , LRPL Taylor and L Ronchi could not understand R Ashwin's turning bowls and lost their wickets in quick successions. MJ Guptill played well and contributed 72 runs before got run out by Ashwin. At one stage New Zealand were 148/5 and in deep trouble. JDS Neesham came in middle and played superb cricket and made useful 71 runs for New Zealand. Ashwin and Jadeje forced New Zealand batsmen to surrender with quality bowling and all out New Zealand team scoring 299 runs. R Ashwin picked ujp 6 wickets and RA Jadeja took 2 wickets. This was Ashwins 20th 5 wickets haul in test cricket. India didnot make New Zealand to follow-on and started 2nd inning with 258 runs lead. At stumps India were 18/0 and total 276 runs lead with 10 wickets remaining.

Day2 - India 557/5 declared with Kohli's double knock, Rahane's 188 and RG Sharma's 51* on super Sunday

India resume batting on 267/3 with V Kohli and AM Rahane in the morning. Both dominates New Zealand bowling well and made record partnership of 365 runs for the 4th wicket of Indian Test cricket. Kohli played superb inning of 211 before LBW out by JS Patel and AM Rahane also contributed well 188 runs for India. Middle order batsman RG Sharma also played good inning of 51* runs and helps to put India in a commanding position. India declared 1st inning on 557/5 and invited New Zealand to bat for remaining 9 overs of the day. New Zealand openers MJ Guptill and TWM Lathan played well and ended on 28/0 at stumps Day-2.

Day1 - Kohli's century knock with Rahane's splendid batting gave India hope to a big 1st inngs score at Indore

After two consecutive wins in 3 test match series against New Zealand at home, India has already won the series 2-0. With these 2 wins India regain No.1 spot in Test Renking as well. In the 3rd test match at Indore, India won the toss and elected to bat first. G Gambhir and UT Yadav in for India instead of S Dhawan and B Kumar. Gambhir open inning with M Vijay today. Both openers lost wickets scoring 29 and 10 runs respectively. CA Pujara made good start but bowled superbly by Santner scoring well 41 runs. India lost top 3 wickets in 100 runs. Skipeer V Kohli and AM Rahane took the charge in hand and played sensible cricket in the middle for India. Both smashed fifties and continued to bat with excellent cricket. Infact V Kohli completed his century in later half and put India to a good position. Both V Kohli and AM Rahane remained unbeaten till end and contributed 103* and 79* runs respectively. India were 267/3 at stump day-1.
