46th match of 2026 ICC t20 Worldcup super eights stage between Sri Lanka vs New Zealand at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
Putting into bat first by Sri Lanka, New Zealand with Rachin Ravindra's 22 balls 32, Mitchell Santner's quick 26 balls 47 and Cole McConchie's unbeaten 23 balls 31 runs set good target of 169 runs. Maheesh Theekshana and Dushmantha Chameera shared 3 wickets each for Sri Lanka.
Following 169 runs, Sri Lanka with very poor batting performances managed to score 107/8 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by huge margin of 61 runs. Kamindu Mendis with 31 runs was top scorer. Rachin Ravindra bowled well and took 4 wickets of 27 runs. Matt Henry took 2 wickets of just 3 runs in his 2 overs. Rachin Ravindra declared man of the match for his 32 runs and wickets.
