Super Eights Stage Match 43 : Miller's quick 63 runs followed by Jansen and Maharaj's superb bowling led South Africa to upset India by huge 76 runs
43rd match of 2026 ICC t20 Worldcup super eights stage between India vs South Africa at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
Opting to bat first, South Africa lost top 3 wickets of just 20 runs. Dewald Brevis 29 balls 45, David Miller 35 balls 63 and Tristan Stubbs with 24 balls 44* runs helps Africa to srt good target of 188 runs for India to get. Jasprit Bumrah bowled well and took 3 wickets of just 15 runs.
Following 188 runs, India lost 2 wickets of just 5 runs in 7 balls. Other Indian batsmen also failed to bat good cricket and lost wickets in regular interwals. Team India all out scoring just 111 runs in 18.5 overs and lost the match by huge margins of 76 runs. Shivam Dube wih 42 runs was top scorer. Marco Jansen took 4 wickets and Keshav Maharaj took 3 wickets for Africa. DA Miller declared man of the match for his quick 63 runs.
