14th Match of ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023 will be played between Australia vs Sri Lanka at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpai Cricket Stadium, Lucknow on Monday, October 16, 2023.

Opting to bat first, Sri Lanka got good start initially and added 125 runs for 1st wicket before Pathum Nissanka got out scoring well 61 runs. Kusal Perera also played good inning of 78 runs before left the field. Other Sri Lankan batsmen failed to stood in middle for long and lost wickets in regular interwals. Sri Lanka team all out scoring 209 runs in 43.3 overs. Adam Zampa took four wickets with accurate bowling. Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins also took two wickets each for Australia as well.

Following small target of 210 runs, australia lost two wickets just in 24 runs. Mitchell Marsh with 52 runs, Marnus Labuschagne's 40 runs, Josh Inglis' 58 runs helps Australia on front foot. Latewr on Glenn Maxwell with 21 balls 31* runs and Marcus Stoinis with 10 balls 20* runs presented Australia well needed win by 5 wickets in 35.2 overs. Adam Zampa declared man of the match for his 4 wickets.
