Final encounter match of BBL 2016-17 has been played today between Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers at Perth. Putting into bat first by Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers top orders failed to bat well in very important match and managed to put small totals of 141 runs in 20 overs. BJ Haddin 38 runs and J Botha 32 runs were top scorers for Sixers. JA Richardson and TT Bresnan bowled well and picked up 3 wickets each for Scorchers.

Perth Scorchers got flying start with SM Whiteman and M Klinger chasing 142 runs and added quick 75 runs of just 7.3 overs before SM Whiteman left the field scoring superb 41 of 21 balls with 5 fours and 3 massive sixes. M Klinger took the charge in hand and played match winning inning of 71 runs of just 49 balls and presented Big Bash Title to Scorchers in 15.5 overs and registered comprehensive win by huge 9 wickets with 25 balls remaining.
