Putting into bat first by Chennai, Kolkata with very poor batting performances managed to score 137 runs in 20 overs. Shreyas Iyer with 34 runs was top scorer for KKR. Ravindra Jadeja and Tushar Deshpande bowled well and claimed 3 wickets each. Mustafizur Rahman also picked up 2 wickets for CSK.
Following small target of 138 runs, Chennai Daryl Mitchell's 25 runs, Shivam Dube's 18 balls 28 runs and Ruturaj Gaikwad's wonderful 67 unbeaten runs made chase easily and won the match comprehensively by 7 wickets. Vaibhav Arora took 2 wickets for Kolkata. Ravindra Jadeja declared man of the match foe his 3 wickets of just 18 runs.
