IPL 7 Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings Report

53rd match of IPL season 7 has been played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore. Chennai with good batting performances won the match by 8 wickets and got ticket to play playoffs. Chennai skipper MS Dhoni declared man of the match for his quick 49* runs in 28 balls.

Eralier, MS Dhoni skipper of Chennai Super Kings won the toss and opted to field first. Bangalore playing without CH Gayle open inning with RR Rossouw amd YV Takawale. RR Rossouw bowled by A Nehra in a very first over scoring just 1 run. OTher opener YV Takawale also went back to pavillion contributing 19 runs. Skipper Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh took the charge and played sensible cricket in midle overs. Yuvraj Singh made 25 runs and Virat Kohli made superb 73 runs of 49 balls. Other lower batsmen could not took the benefit of last overs and Bangalore put 154 runs at the end of 20 overs.

Following target of 155 runs, Chennai got quick start with DR Smith and F du Plessis. CSK completed 50 runs just in 4 overs. DR Smith played super fast inning of 34 runs of 17 balls before lost his wicket. F de Plessis also played superb cricket and contributed unbeaten 54 runs. Skipper Dhoni played splendid inning of 49* runs of 28 balls and gave Chennai won by huge margins of 8 wickets.

Thus, Chennai got 2 points and ticket to playoffs and Bangalore will have to go home with 0 points. Skipper MS Dhoni declared man of the match for his quick inning of 49* runs.
