IPL 7 Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals Report

56th match of IPL season 7 has been played between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. Mumbai with extra ordinery batting performances won the match by 5 wicket and also qualified for Playoffs as well. CJ Anderson declared man of the match for his splendid 95 runs of 44 balls.

Earlier, Mumbai won the toss and decided to field first and let Rajasthan to set target. Rajasthan today open inning with skipper SR Watson and SV Samson. Sr Watson lost wicket early scoring just 8 runs. But, SV Samson and KK Nair took the cahrge in hand and playes superb inning for Rajasthan, KR Nair played quick inning of 50 runs of 27 balls and SV Samson also played firing inning of 74 runs of just 47 balls. In later overs BJ Hodge (26 of 16 balls) and JP Faulkner (23 of 12 balls) played quick innings and put huge score of 189 runs at the end of 20 overs.

Following huge target of 190 runs, Mumbai could not made good start and lost LMP Simmons early. CJ Anderson joined with MK Hussey and played quick cricket for Mumbai. Both completed Mumbai's 50 runs in just 3.5 overs. MK hussy lost his wicket in hurry scoring 22 runs of 11 balls. KA Pollard promoted in order but failes today and made just 7 runs. Skipper RG Sharma joined with CJ Anderson but he also falls scoring 16 runs. AT Rayudu joined with Anderson and played splendid inning of 30 runs of just 30 balls. Anderson also played extra ordinery inning of 95 runs of just 44 balls and gave Mumbai win in 14.4 overs by 5 wickets. Mumbai qualify for Playoffs as they got higher run rates over Rajasthan.
