Day 5 - RA Jadeja's 7 wkts powered India to crushed England by innings & 75 runs at Chennai and seals 4-0 win

England resumed 5th day play with 12/0 and all out scoring 207 runs and lost the ,atch by huge margins of innings and 75 runs. Skipper AN Cook 49 and KK Jennings with 54 runs played good inning for England but, other English batsmen surrender against RA Jadeja's turning balls and all out scoring 207 runs. RA Jadeja picked up 7 wickets for India and this is his best bowling figures in test cricket. India won the series 4-0 in 5 test matches series.

Karun Nair declared man of the match for his record 303* runs inning and Virat Kohli awarded by player of the series for his consistent batting performance in series with 655 runs in 5 matches.

Day 4 - Karun Nair triple century put India on record 759/7 and leaves England behind by 282 runs in 1st inning

Young Karun Nair's all round extra ordiney batting performance powered India to put record huge innings total of 759/7 on 4th day of Chennai Teast against England. Earlier KL Rahul played superb inning of 199 runs on previous day but, today Karun Nair's marathon 303* runs inning put India on front foot with 282 runs lead over England's 1st inning 477 runs. This is India's biggest total in test history. Talking about KK Nair, he become 2nd Indian batsman to score tripple century. Virender Sehwag has already done twice for India. Great temperament and maturity shown by Nair today who is playing just his 3rd test match for India. He also became the first player who made largest maiden individual score in his 1st century for India as well.

India declared 1st innng with 759/7 in late evening and put England to bat 5 overs of the day with 282 runs debt. England made 12/0 at stumps day 4 trail by 270 runs with 10 wickets remaining. India needs 10 wickets to win this test on 5th and final day at Chennai.

Day 2 - MM Ali's 146 and Debut man LA Dawson & AU Rashid's fifties lifted England to a 477 & India 60/0 in 1st inning

17th Dec 16

England resumed 2nd day play with 284/4 and lost BA Stokes and JC Buttler early in the morning.. MM Ali played well and got out scoring 146 runs of UT Yadav. At one stage England were in trouble with 321/7. Debut man LA Dawson and AU Rashid took the charge in hand for England and played excellent cricket in middle. Both smashed half centuries with 66* and 60 runs respectively and lifted England on a good 1st inning total. England managed to put 477 runs and all out after tea time. India got 20 overs to play in later part of day and were 60/0 at stumps Day 2. PA Patel open inning with KL Rahul as M Vijay got injured on his solders during fielding. Both played sensible cricket and made 29* and 30* runs respectively.

RA Jadeja picked up 3 wickets and I Sharma & UT Yadav got 2 wickets each for India.R Ashwin and Amit Mishra got 1 wicket each.

Day 1 - Moeen Ali's 120* and Joe Root's 88 runs helps England to put 284/4 at stumps day1 in Chennai

5th and last test of 5 match series has been started at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai today. England once again won the toss and elected to bat first. England could not made batter start and lost both openers early. KK Jennings gone scoring 1 run and skipper AN Cook made his way contributing 10 runs only. JE Root and MM Ali came in middle and took the charge in hand for England. Both played excellent cricket in middle and scores quick runs as well. Both added very well 146 runs for 3rd wicket before Root out scoring 88 runs. Wicketkeeper batsman JM Bairstow joined with MM Ali and played good inning of 49 runs before left the field. MM Ali in true sense anchore the inning with superb batting and smashed his 5th and 2nd of this series century. He remained un-beaten on 120 at stumps and put England on a good total of 284 runs with 6 wickets remaining.

RA Jadeja picked up 3 wickets and I Sharma got 1 wicket for India. Other bowlers could not earn any single wicket. At stumps day 1 England were 284/4 with BA Stokes 5* and MM Ali 120* in middle to resume play on 2nd day morning.
