Day 5 - Kohli's double ton and Ashwin's 12 victims helps India to won by innings and 36 runs

12th Dec 16

England resumed 5th day with 182/6 and all out scoring 195 runs. Tail enders could score only 13 runs and lost 4 wicket just in half an hour play. England not even managed to get 231 runs 1st innings lead and lost the match by huge margins of innings and 36 runs. R Ashwin took all remaining 4 wickets and succeded to got 6 wickets in 2nd inning too. R Ashwin got 6 + 6 = 12 wickets in match. Aswin was also the candidate for man of the match fir his excellent bowling performance but, skipper Virat Kohli declared man of the match for his consistent superb batting performance and smashed double knock with 235 runs.

Last and final test match will be played at Cheaupak, but India all ready won the 5-match series 3-0.

Score :- India 631 and England 400 & 195 - India won by an innings and 36 runs

Day 4 - V Kohli's 235 and J Yadav's 104 put India on front-foot with 231 runs lead over England's 1st inngs 400

Following 400 1st innings runs of England, India resumed 4th day play with 451/7 and all out scoring huge 631 runs adding more 180 runs in previous day's total. India gave 231 runs runs lead to England for their 400 in 1st inning score. V Kohli continued with his best of career form and smashed double century knock scoring 232 runs on 4th day of Wankhede test. This was his 3rd double knock in this year. J Yadav also played superb cricket with 104 runs and gave skipper good company with sencible cricket. India managed to score 631 runs and gave healthy lead of 231 runs to England.

Englande started 2nd inning with 231 runs debts and lost 1st innings century man KK Jennings for a duck on a very second ball of the inning. B Kumar got his out leg before wicket. Skipper AN Cook also gone early scoring 18 runs. MM Ali followed him without scoring and England were in deep trouble. JE Root and JM Bairstow took the charge in hand and played positive cricket in middle for England. JE Root left the field scoring well 77 runs. JM Bairstow played sensible cricket and remained un beaten till stumps scoring very well 50 runs. England were 182/6 at the end of 4th day still trail by 49 runs with 4 wickets remaining.

Day 3 - V Kohli's 147* and M Vijay's 136 put India 51 runs ahed over England's 1st inngs 400 with 3 wkts remaining

Following 400 1st innings runs of England, India resumed 3rd day play with 146/1 and added 305 runs in previous day score. M Vijay and skipper V Kohli's 100 tons powered India to lead by 51 runs in 1st inning with 3 wickets remaining in the 1st innings. Vijay made 136 runs and consistent V Kohli contributed well with 147* runs to put India on 451/7 at stumps day3. India would like to give 125-150 runs lead and put England in pressure tomorrow morning.

England resumed 2nd day play with 288/5 and all out scoring 400 runs in 1st inning adding more 112 runs in previous day score.RA Jadeja picked 4 wickets and R Ashwin took 6 wickets with excellent bowling. JC Buttler plaed well today and contributed 76 runs. India made good start with M Vijay and KL Rahul initially but KL Rahul went early scoring 24 runs. M Vijay look good with CA Pujara and played good cricket till end of the day. M Vijay completed his half century and still in middle with 70 runs and CA Pujara also stands with him scoring 47 runs. India were 146/1 trail by 254 runs with 9 wkts remaining in the 1st innings.

Day 1 - KK Jennings debut century knock powered England to a 288/5 on 1st day at Wankhede

8th Dec 16

4th test of 5 match series has been started at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai today. England won the toss and once again elected to bat first. The decision looks like good for Englasnd as visitor team got excellent start with AN Cook and debut man KK Jennings initially. Both played confident cricket and added 99 runs for the 1st wicket before skipper AN Cook stumped by PA Patel of RA Jadeja scoring 46 runs. JE Root joined with Jennings but failed to stood in middle for lond and left the field scoring 21 runs. KK Jennings shown his temper well in his very first match and smashed his 1st century in debut match contributed very well 112 runs before got out. MM Ali also played well in later half and made 50 runs before left the field.

R Ashwin picked up 4 wickets and RA Jadeja got 1 wicket for India. Other bowlers could not earn any single wicket. At stumps day 1 England were 288/5 with BA Stokes 25* and JC Buttler 18* in middle to resume play on 2nd day morning.
