The one-off T20 match between England and India has been played today at Edgbaston, Birmingham. England won the match by just 3 runs margin. England T20 skipper EJG Morgan declared man of the match for his super qiuck inning of 71 runs of just 31 balls.
England won the toss and decided to bat first. Having lost 2 wicket early, AD Hales and skipper himself took the charge and played superb innings for England. AD Hales made 40 runs of 25 balls and EJG Morgan contributed quick 71 runs of just 31 balls with 7 massive sixes. England managed to put huge score of 180 runs at the enf of 20 overs.
Following target of 181 runs. India lost AM Rahane early. S Dhawan (33) and V Kohli (66 of 41) played good cricket. India were in top upto 18th over. India needed 17 runs in last over but, skipper Dhoni managed to score 14 runs in last over and lost the match by just 3 runs margin.
