2nd Big Bash match of BBL 2017 has been played between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat at Adelaide today. Adelaide Strikers won the toss and chose to field first. Brisbane Heat bated first and put huge totals of 206 runs in 20 overs. Opening batsmen JJ Peirson and skipper BB McCullum made sparkling start for Brisbane and added 90 runs in just 8 overs with excellent cricket. Both played quick innings of 46 of 29 balls and 42 of 21 balls respectively. AI Ross also played superb inning of 64 runs in just 36 balls and put Brisbane score on 206 runs in 20 overs.

Adelaide Strikers in reply faught well and got extreem start with J Weatherald and BR Dunk upto half time of inning. Both added 133 in 11 overs before Weatherald got out scoring quick 52 runs. BR Dunk also played good inning of 85 runs in 43 balls. Other batsmen failed to keep higher required run rate and Strikers lost the match by 10 runs. BB McCullum declared man of the match for his firing start with 42 runs in 21 balls.
