2nd twenty20 international match of 3 t20i match series has been played between Australia and India at Melbourne Cricket Stadium today. Putting into bat first, India with good peace of batting performances of top order batsmen managed to put good score of 183 runs having lost 3 wickets in 20 overs. RG Sharma 60 and V Kohli 59* were top scorer for India. Australia made 157 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 27 runs. Virat Kohli got man of the match for his quick 59 runs of just 44 balls. India led the 3-match series 2-0.

Earlier, Australia won the toss and put India into bat first. India made good start with inform batsmen RG Sharma and S Dhawan as usual. Bioth played quick and smart cricket initially. S Dhawan made 42 runs of 32 balls before left the field. RG Sharma also played superb inning of 60 runs before he got unfortunately run out. V Kohli contunued with great form and contributed quick 59 runs of just 33 balls and remained not out till end. MS Dhoni also played quick short inning of 14 runs of 9 balls. India managed to put decent totals of 183/3 in 20 overs.

Following target of 184 runs, Australia made very good quickstart with skipper AJ Finch and SE Marsh initially. Both played superb cricket and added 94 runs in 10 overs for 1st wickets. SE Marsh made his way by R Ashwin scoring 23 runs and CA Lynn amd GJ Maxwell also followed him in quick interwals. SR Watson got good start but could not convert his inning for long and brilliandly cough and bowled by RA Jadeja scoring 15 runs. Skipper AJ Finch contributed well 74 runs and unfortunately got run out by Dhoni and Jadeja. Other lower order batsmen could not compit with higher run rates and Australia managed to score 157 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 27 runs.
